My school allows us to bring electronics, but we have to turn it in to a principal or teacher. Why are they so strong on that rule. The chances of an iPod getting stolen from a teacher or principal are much higher than if you have it in your pocket (or even a belt clip) at all times. Plus they're more likely to get damaged. It's pretty easy to notice a student using an electronic in class! (In my school there's only 6 kids in my class) Plus do you think that my parents could get the school to let me use my laptop in the computer lab? I don't like or feel safe using their computers. By safe I mean they're NEVER cleaned, so if a student sneezes on the keyboard, someone els could get sick. Also The screens hurt my eyes. (flickering) And the teacher will be in constant monitor of us. The only way I could use a computer from home at school is to donate one to them. I don't have that kind of money to waste for the students to abuse and get germs on! And above all I'm more familier with Macs than their Windows computers, and it's pretty easy to notice someone trying to steal my laptop. It's a 15 inch silver laptop easy to notice!
