3. check out these series of books call that ends with "for the evil genius". like "electronics for the evil genius" or "robotics for the evil genius". They're pretty cool books

5. the best site IMHO is www.hobby-electronics.info go there and click on "Schematics" in the left hand pane and you will get a list of electronics project sites---just go through one by one until you get what you want.
