- Puzzles, about $3.00 at department stores everywhere. All subject matters and levels of difficulty.
- http://www.amazon.com/Elenco-SC-300-Snap-Circuits/dp/B0000683A4/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1220729048&sr=8-1 Or look in their for some else that is project related for kids.
- Check out Make Magazine if you haven't already... You can find their website at www.makezine.com but they do sell a print version. They always have tons of cheap little electronic (and non elec) projects in there and they sell the parts and kits on their site. Hope that helps!
- There are lots of electronics projects in the book written by Forrest Mims, "Getting Started in Electronics". Amazon sells it for $20, you'd need to spend a bit more to get the electronics parts to assemble the projects. A good online store for electronics parts is mouser.com. If you're looking for something that's less instructive (doesn't cover the why behind the how), a great place for projects is instructables.com, where people have posted electronics projects to suit every budget and interest.
- Edmund Scientific sells all sorts of kits for robots and other cool toys, as well as lots of individual parts for making your own creations. It's a fun site to look around. Click on the categories you want to view. http://scientificsonline.com/article.asp?ai=7
