What is the easiest way to learn how to design electronic circuits w/o spending 20-50 grand on school?

1. You can learn everything. There is no limit. Buy and read electronics magazines, learn about design techniques on the web. Follow discussion newsgroups. Learn how to design circuit boards and practise your soldering. Get a basic toolkit including a meter and an oscilloscope. Once you have learned the basics then find out about FPGAs. The point of going to college is to get proof that you understand a subject. Without it you will have difficulty in getting a job. You'll have to come up with some impressive projects to convince an employer to take you on.
2. read books on electronics. choose the ones that gives good explanations and many examples. u can also go to vocational school. try asking a don bosco school. they give the best technical education.
